I and my son didn't see my parents 2 years
My Travel Story
My name is Artem Prytula, I am from the eastern Ukraine city of Mariupol and with the coming of the war I and my family found ourselves in the centre of a terrible war.
On 9.03.2022 after two weeks in a cold basement of the house without electricity, communication, water and almost without food, I, my 7 years old son and my 31 years old wife were forced to go to school, where volunteers were distributing humanitarian aid. Right on the doorstep of the school we came under artillery fire. My wife died on the spot, part of her head was torn off in front of my son and I. Surprisingly, we survived, my son and I were wounded by shell splinters and concussion. Unconscious, we were found by Russian soldiers and taken to a military hospital where we stayed for a month practically in captivity. From there, with the help of volunteers, my son and I went to Ireland, as our city was already destroyed and occupied by the Russian army. My parents stayed in Mariupol, as they could not leave their parents and the housing that survived. Since then, my son and I live in Ireland and my parents in occupied Mariupol. I have not seen my parents and my son has not seen his grandparents for 2 years, as I can not work full time, I work part time because I am alone with my little son and I have to take care of him. So unfortunately I have no money to take my parents out of the occupied territory and spend at least a week with them.
We will be very extremely grateful for your help and indifference to our terrible situation.
To confirm my words I can provide photos of our passports with residence registration, certificates of wounding of me and my son and death certificate of my wife.
Sincerely Artem Prytula
