As an educator, I whole heartedly believe that being cultured is incredibly important. In my own classroom, we embrace all backgrounds while practicing inclusion. One way to do this is by getting out into the world and learning about a variety of cultures. What better nation to start in than my own home of the United States? We have such a variety of environments to explore! By bringing new found knowledge back, I am able to continue to strive to be a more well rounded educator and human being. The students benefit from what I am able to bring back which impacts my local community. I am so passionate about completing this goal of mine because of the educational component that I tend to focus on when traveling. We never stop learning and this is my way of challenging myself, educating myself and bringing back any relevant resources to my classroom.
