My Travel Story

by: SGS Antipodeans Start Date: Nov 14, 2019 - End Date: May 13, 2020
During the June/July holidays of 2020, around 20 boys from SGS Antipodeans Team 2, will be heading to Australia's close neighbour Cambodia to help communities and families in need who are less fortunate than us and living in poor conditions.

As a team, we have decided to base our community project in the unique stilt village of Kampong Khleang, 50km southeast of Siem Reap. In coordination with local elders, us boys will help the community by assisting in building small to medium dwellings to shelter families as well as possibly much needed toilet blocks and other jobs to improve their overall standard of living and provide facilities and infrastructure that many take for granted, allowing us a wider perspective of the world around us.

We kindly ask for support in our volunteer trip, through donations towards funding for materials and labour needed to make a positive impact in an area which could really benefit from our combined efforts. Any donations are truly appreciated and will be making a real difference to the lives of those who we help in Cambodia.

Thank you very much for all your support.
