The spirit to position VocalEssence Chorale and myself at the international front while leveraging on the exposure and learnings it affords ensembles and individuals alike has made the choir accept the invitation to participate and compete in the maiden African Choral and Gospel Championship (ACGC) in South Africa from the 22nd to the 29th of November,2021.

The African Gospel and Choral Championship (ACGC) is a platform to bring as many African talents as possible together, in the host country- South Africa, and give them as much exposure as time will allow. It is also to celebrate African music with the motive of uniting nations through their complex arts that can be effectively demonstrated to positively position Africa as truly a haven of musical talents.

After a successful launch in Accra-Ghana in November 2020, which was well attended by World Class Musicians and Choirs from all around Africa as well as the Western part of the world, which saw VocalEssence Chorale perform during the event, the ACGC is set for its first ever Championship in South Africa in November 2021.

This year’s Championship is the first of its kind and as a Choir, we have been invited to participate.The total cost of participation for each Chorister is Eight Thousand Ghana Cedis (8,000). This includes the total cost of accommodation, feeding, inland transport and all administrative costs, round trip airfare
and visa fees.
