My Travel Story

by: Hanzala Khan Start Date: Sep 5, 2024 - End Date: Jan 4, 2025
Hi Everyone,

Traveling has always been my greatest passion. The thrill of exploring new cultures and witnessing the beauty of our diverse planet has been a central part of my life. However, my ability to travel took an unexpected turn after a recent spinal surgery, and I’ve faced increased medical expenses and a slower recovery than anticipated. While my spirits remain high and my desire to explore the world is as strong as ever, the financial burden has become a significant challenge. This is where I hope to turn to this amazing community.

My time at the hospital and recovery has made me think that travel is not only about exploring new places but also about making this world a better place. From this trip onwards, with travelling I also want to give it back to society. During my two-week trip to Tanzania, I will volunteer to teach kids English at a Non-profit School. Their project is based on providing education for children from low-income families in our community, they are working with children from 2 to 6 years old where local teachers and volunteers have regular lessons every workday. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and bring me closer to my dream of exploring the world again.

To show my appreciation, I’ll share updates and stories from my travels, offering a glimpse into the adventures your kindness has helped make possible. Your support will not only help me fulfill my passion but also inspire others to pursue their dreams despite life’s challenges. I hope to make an impact in the lives of people I meet during my journeys.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Hanzala
