My Travel Story

I would love to participate in this study abroad program specifically to gain life experience and to experience Barcelonian culture firsthand. I would be immensely grateful to do so. It is apparent to me that this trip can benefit me in several ways. It will teach me independence while simultaneously teaching me how to network with students and people that I am unfamiliar with. Ideally, I will have the possibility to make friends with students who are interested in Psychology and/ Kinesiology just as I am. I chose Psychology in Barcelona because I genuinely enjoy learning about psychology and because it is my minor but also because I have always been drawn to art. It is a hobby of mine that I often enjoy in my spare time specifically drawing, painting, and utilizing different mediums. I have recently began learning to utilize digital drawing with the applications Adobe Draw and Procreate. As many know Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro are artists native to Spain. Art is prevalent in Barcelona. Barcelona has the vastest amount of Roman art existing located at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya. I am confident that I will be full of inspiration for my own art each day that I’m there. I also chose Barcelona to experience feeding pigeons and also to view the local’s enthusiasm for soccer firsthand. I am excited to view and try their foods. I love seafood. It is undoubtedly my favorite, so I am specifically most enthusiastic about trying Paella which is a dish consisting of vegetables, rice, and seafood.
