My Travel Story

I strongly feel that education is the foundation of our future. I'm sure you have heard the saying/quote that goes something like this, "Every occupation is derived and due to education and educators." 

My teaching journey began in New Mexico and Oregon teaching General Music and Chorus. In all honesty, I loved it so much I poured my heart and soul into it. I gave my all to my students and my program. I felt they deserved every ounce of my time and energy. I truly loved/love my students as if they are my own children. After 5 years of teaching this way, I realized emotionally, physically and mentally that I was completely burned out. Not to mention, the administration... makes things really difficult. 
What it boiled down to was a very hard decision: I needed to maintain my sanity and health (reasonable hours and good working environment) not only for the benefit of my life but for my future students. I decided that meant I need to continue teaching but I need to learn balance and to follow my heart and dreams as well. 
Traveling abroad has ALWAYS been a dream of mine. I have always put it on the back burner for my degree, for my job/students, for a significant other etc. No more. It's time. I have begun teaching my students online and already love it and love teaching them! I can only imagine what it will be like with the amazing addition of traveling!

I have worked very hard to be financially stable for this journey, but the money is still pretty tight. I would appreciate any help you can give!
