My Travel Story

I have been dreaming of immersing in different cultures ever since I was a child. I was an undergrad student until last year. I stopped taking the engineering course, knowing full well that it wasn't for me, and planned to study english teaching abroad. It is a small but good start for me to start my quest in understanding and immersing in different cultures, and helping my family back home here in the Philippines.

It seems customary in our community to finish college to be able to work a decent job, but my family supported my decision to stop for a while despite not being well-off. I want to be able to help them while fulfilling my dreams.

I am very much curious about how different people across cultures live. I think it will make me understand the workings of this world and help on how to make it better. I also love meeting different people and learning new things!

Thailand has a rich and coloful culture from what I have seen in pictures. It is also a great place for language teachers to start training! Thailand is a close neighboring country to the Philippines, meaning tickets will be cheaper too. It's also the cheapest onsite course right now in myTEFL so I will take the first step and go from there. 

This travel will be the first step in a very long (and probably unending) journey to finding myself and building relationships with other people and communities, while helping my family.
