My Travel Story

I want to start this by saying I'm extremely blessed to be alive. I am a domestic abuse survivor. 2 years ago my life was almost cut short at the hands of an abusive boyfriend. I lived in constant fear and walked on egg shells for 6 years of my life and the final night with my abusive ex was almost my last . The picture of my bruised face was actually taken  a week after the vicious attack I endured. I was beaten so severely that I wasn't able to open my eyes for 5 days because of the swelling . I woke up in a dark apartment alone after being knocked unconscious for 2 full days . I thought I was blind because I couldn't see and I had to feel around the apartment to find my phone to call for help. This day was life changing because I wasn't supposed to survive but I did and I made sure my abuser was brought to justice. The other picture is of me today. I'm a lot more brave and stronger than I've ever been and have vowed to be there for other women who are going thru the same thing but are to afraid to leave. The reason I the fund raiser is to try to raise money to actually live life since I was granted this second chance . I want to travel the world and see things I've never even dreamt of . With working and trying to stay on top of bills traveling isn't something I can afford right now .
