I am volunteering in Costa Rica because I am in the process of applying to PA schools. Instead of volunteering somewhere where I won't feel fulfilled or where I feel like my time isnt actually needed, I decided to take a leap and do this international volunteer program where I can help an underprivileged country and their residents. I will be helping out in hospitals and other medical destinations in Costa Rica alongside their medical doctors and other medical professionals. This will be a huge learning experience for me and something I am super excited for, anything helps!
