Hello Everyone! I’m raising funds to support my faculty-led Speech Pathology study abroad trip to Belize through North Carolina A&T State University’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders from October 23rd to November 2nd, 2025! This 10-day experience will allow me to explore global approaches to communication disorders, build cultural awareness, and strengthen my future career as a speech-language pathologist.

Part of our mission is supporting the teachers and students at Kuxlin Ha Government School. We’ll assist teachers by providing resources to improve their programs and evaluate grade school children for speech therapy. Many students currently don’t have access to these services due to limited resources and a shortage of therapists, so our work will help identify which children need support and provide guidance to help them improve their communication skills.

Your support will help cover my remaining trip balance and funds I may need while abroad, allowing me to gain hands-on experience and bring back knowledge to make a lasting impact—improving the lives of those with communication challenges and ensuring that everyone can access the help they deserve, no matter their socioeconomic status or community.
