My Travel Story

by: Jase Cameron Start Date: Sep 20, 2023 - End Date: Mar 19, 2024
This is my beautiful child, Sebastian.
He is 36, and ever since he was very little, he dreamed of seeing the Aroura Borealis/Northern Lights.
Sebastian is high functioning autistic, and legally blind.
Since birth, his eyesight was very poor.
He's worn glasses his whole life.
Unfortunately, his eyesight is slowly deteriorating, and he may have just  few years left of being able to see.
His vision is progressivly getting worse.
He is so funny and talented, I am so proud of his accomplishments despite his limited abilities.
He is a documented savant!
He received some attention for a published book where he did the illustrations via Inside Edition and his desire to see an Aroura Borealis, so I created a GFM to help get to Alaska.
However, the donations were very minimal, and stagnated in just weeks.
This trip would check of my son's bucket list #1 spot.
It would mean the world to me to be abe to take him and fulfill his dream.
I want him to experience this so when his eyesight is gone, he will have the memories forever.
We are wanting to go between October 2023 and April 2024, where the lights are best and brightest.
We would need funds for round trip tickets for 2, lodging for 3-5 days, the purchase of appropriate clothing, food and misc costs for the trip.
If it even matters, I am single, and Sebastian and I live together, it's just us.
I am a self-emplyed massage therapist, and Covid wiped out my business.
We live off of his SSD, my income and $260 per month of SNAP.

From te bottom of our hearts, thank  you for reading, and for any consideration.
Jase Cameron.
