My Travel Story
My name is Karel, I am a second year student at the University of Sheffield, studying Aerospace engineering.
I've been traveling basically my whole life, visiting family and friends all over, but I never had a chance to go out and explore on my own and having an adventure, where I go wherever the road takes me and enjoy the freedom. As I am approaching the end of my education, this summer is looking to be the last one where I would have the chance to undertake such an endeavour, and it is unlikely I will be able to save up enough to make this trip a reality. That's where you can potentially join in!
I plan on keeping everyone updated on the progress of my journey through social media, taking all of you along for this amazing month long journey where I go from the northern tip of Europe in Norway, all the way to the southern shores of Italy. During the journey I will record everything and once I am back home I will edit a series of videos covering the details of the trip, taking you even closer to the action. On the way I wish to explore everything there possibly could be to explore, from beautiful scenery in Scandinavia, the stunnning architecture and culture of old European cities, to the historic ruins of past civilizations in Italy.
I am not yet sure how much this trip would cost, I only have a rough estimate based on other people who have undertaken similar journeys. I can promise you though that the money will not be spent recklessly on luxury. I plan on traveling on a motorbike, and sleeping mostly in a tent where the weather and environment permits. All leftover funds will be donated to charity here in the UK, to make sure that no donation went to waste.
