My Travel Story

My name is Roberto Humerez, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt request for support on a journey that holds profound significance for my emotional and mental well-being. This is not just a trip, but a pilgrimage back to Miami, Florida—a city that was once my home and now symbolizes a path to healing and transformation.

My Story
A few years ago, I was living in Miami with my beloved mother, who was my rock and support system. Tragically, she passed away, leaving me devastated and vulnerable. My stepfather, who struggled with his role in my life and was dealing with his own battles, was unable to cope with my presence. His reaction was severe—he threw me out of the house, leaving me homeless and alone on the streets of Miami.

As I navigated the harsh reality of homelessness, I faced tremendous emotional and mental challenges. I was a university student with dreams and aspirations, but the weight of my circumstances crushed my spirit. Friends and acquaintances, fearing the association with my failure, distanced themselves, leaving me isolated and abandoned. My mind was clouded with trauma, and I struggled to see a way out.

A Call to Return
Today, I am in a place where I understand the importance of addressing my past and healing from these traumatic experiences. I believe that returning to Miami is essential for my emotional recovery and growth. This journey is about more than just visiting a place—it's about confronting my past, honoring my mother by placing flowers on her grave, and finding closure.

Moreover, I want to change the narrative of my life and prove that compassion and support can make a difference. I aim to use this journey to help others who might be in similar situations, showing them that there is hope and that recovery is possible. I want to engage with communities, share my story, and advocate for kindness and understanding.

Why I Need Your Help
Returning to Miami requires financial resources that I currently do not have. The cost of living there is significantly higher compared to where I am now, and without adequate funds, I cannot make this journey a reality. Your support will not only help me travel back to Miami but will also provide me with the means to survive and thrive while I am there.

The funds will be used for:
