Hello and thank you for your time
I have been accepted to take part in an 8 week Finance internship in Madrid, Spain starting the 3rd of June 2017. Apart from my financial constraints this serves as an extraordinary opportunity to commence building a foundation towards a successful professional career abroad. I currently reside in South Africa and thus far Madrid has only been a dream ... I trust that through this initiative it will become reality.
I am final year student at the University of Johannesburg, studying Economics and Econometrics, I feel having an international internship straight after graduation will speak wonders in terms of my professional development and beyond, thus also simplifying the process of career progression. Moreover it enables me to open doors to all those who would love to intern abroad but cannot fund the experience by that even as circumstances may not agree it is still possible as tough as I may seem.
I have always had this unexplainable desire to be international, in either career or leisure and that is my number one reason in terms of a position abroad. I love different and non-routine and that is what I feel I am after here.
I chose Madrid because it has this serene and intimate type of feel to it, but also an exhilarating vibe. I am genuinely a curious person so rich culture fused with a hint of mystery is ideal for a personality like mine, it births adventure.
In the longer term I plan to get into banking and/or a profession immersed within the Financial markets and with that said I feel it is imperative that I equip myself as best I can from the get go, furthermore I feel through this I am representing my family in the best way possible. It will also be great to share this experience with the interns from all over the world, learn different ways and perspectives but also how to appreciate diversity. Which is pretty cool all in all.
As much as I cannot afford it, I thought I do something about it.
I trust you will be able to assist my endeavour to Madrid.
Thank you in advance.
