My Travel Story

GASTagus is a portuguese youth non-profit organization, ONGD, founded in 2008 whose main goal is to alert and sensitize the population on the importance of human dignity and social inequalities that persist in the world we live in.

The vision of our association is achieved by promoting and carrying out volunteer activities in Portugal throughout the year in various national institutions and during the month of August we conducted missions in Africa (Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, São Tome and Principe) and Brazil. We operate through the support of local partners with a view to development, working mainly in education, health and vocational support.

In 2009 we participated in three African countries with three teams of volunteers. We have been growing since then and only in 2014 we sent 78 volunteers in international projects, allowing us to solidify the work done in previous years. Em2015 we intend to continue the initiated projects, thereby assert one of our pillars - continuity and sustainability. We now have a large team of volunteers to full force from and partners available to receive us.
