My Travel Story

Receive a friendly greeting, dear reader.

I am a 23 year old venezuelan clinical psychologist. I have been working for 2 years with children and adolescents with alterations in neurodevelopment (Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ...) and their families. Since I was 12 years old I wanted to be a psychologist and when i started university i understood that i wanted to dedicate myself to studying child behavior from a neuropsychological perspective. During my last semesters i began to work with populations such as visual impairment, adult patients in intensive care, patients with diabetes and children and adolescents with developmental disorders and their families, who in Venezuela represent a rather large population and to a greater extent are of scarce economic resources.

This experience has led me to learn a lot and has been transforming me as a person, but i am a girl who wants to learn much more to be able to continue helping those who need it most and continue my transformation as a human being. Therefore, when i finished university, i decided to study a master's degree in cognitive neuropsychology in Italy, a country i always wanted to visit, but to aspire to a scholarship i must have a C1 level of Italian and i was recently presented with the opportunity to study Italian at a school for international students in Italy in exchange for being an au pair for an Italian family, the only drawback is that due to the high levels of inflation in Venezuela, i can not afford the trip to Italy and that is why I decided to resort to you through this platform.

Being in Italy as an au pair for 1 year would be a unique opportunity for me, not only because i would learn a language and that would help me a lot to improve my work skills and obtain the scholarship, but also, because the cultural exchange between a young Latina psychologist and an Italian family would be an experience that would enrich me very much on a personal level, it would allow me to broaden my horizons, get to know another perspective of the world in a country so different from mine and also, it would help me to save a bit to study in beautiful Italy.

I want to prepare, grow as a person and as a professional to continue contributing a grain of sand to this world, but it will only be possible if you help me. I also want to invite you to this magnificent adventure, so i will make many photos and videos so you can feel that you are there with me during my journey. I want you to know that, for me, every contribution, no matter how small it seems, counts and a lot, either with a dollar or helping me share this campaign on social networks.
