Friends + Family,

It all started with a simple question: how can we create a better world through travel and architecture?

There will always be a need for building projects throughout the world, which is why we have chosen to connect with the Build Abroad Program and volunteer, building homes and community buildings in Peru this summer. Build Abroad is a non-profit that focuses specifically on construction volunteering. We feel that construction volunteering is the best way to serve a community. Through volunteering and travel, we can grow to understand ourselves as architects, the world, and the people we share it with. Also being involved with projects like this will provide a physical impact on a community that will last for years.

Volunteering abroad is a rare opportunity to work alongside local communities and get a first-hand insight into the challenges they face. Experiences like these teach tolerance and understanding, and I know we will leave with a greater awareness of the diverse conditions in which people live throughout the world, and the richness of culture.

Rather than sending money from overseas or hoping that your tourist dollars reach the people who need it most, you can help us by allowing us to work and volunteer, physically and directly impacting the architecture and the community of Cusco, Peru.

If you’re able, we’d love it if you could make a donation of $100, $20, or even $5 to help us achieve our mission and help build a better world.

Thank you in advance for your contribution.

P.S. Check out https://buildabroad.org/ and maybe someday you can volunteer!
