Sea Turtle Conservation
My Travel Story
This trip will involve protecting the turtles eggs, nurturing young turtles (feeding + cleaning), rescuing injured turtles, teaching turtles to catch fish which is vital for their survival, beach clean ups and waste management.
These all contribute to the goal of increasing the turtle population which ensures the biodiversity of our planet. Sea turtles help protect our coral reefs which are habitat to many other marine species and are a natural breakwater for our coastlines. Sea turtles also help regulate food chains which benefit both animals and humans.
The devotion I feel for Marine Biology is obvious as I have studied this science and longed to make a difference for as long as I can remember. I wish to continue studying this subject through my career so this trip will be a dream come true not only on a personal level but an advantage my future career.
