Hi, I'm Joe Fitzgerald. I have always wanted to walk the trail of tears. The same as my great-great-grandmother did. I have the time to accomplish this incredible journey in the next few months. Being able to do this would give me the opportunity to better understand what my great-grandmother went through in tough period of her life. she took her one-year-old daughter with her (my great-grandmother. Me and my family are part of the Choctaw  tribe. I would start it on the east coast and walk it all the way to Oklahoma, where it ended at the indian territory near present day Oklahoma city.
