Hi, I’m Alice!

I wish I could say I'm different from the rest of the amazing people on here asking for donations, but honestly, I'm not. I have a dream like the rest; it's not world-changing or massively selfless, but it's honest and mine. I want to visit places I've only seen photos of, meet people whose lives are so wholly different from mine, and immerse myself in cultures so foreign that it feels like another world.

I'll be working on an eco farm on the south coast of Bali, preparing COB, building them, fixing things, and learning about recycling, food, nature, art and the people of Bali.

I was lucky enough as a child to grow up in the Middle East, making travel an integral part of my life. It has shaped who I am and opened my heart and mind to the beauty and diversity of our world. After spending many years in the U.K., I miss traveling deeply and would love your help to fulfill a lifelong dream: to visit Bali.

I know that the past few years have been tough for all of us. I've spent the last two years adrift, moving between cities and jobs, never fully fitting in or feeling comfortable. I’ve been yearning for something, as the French say, "je ne sais quoi" (I don't know what).

Traveling to Bali is more than just a trip for me. I don't want to just sit on the beach and get a tan; I want to immerse myself in the country, meet the people, learn about the culture, and give back to the community. Bali’s rich traditions, stunning landscapes, and warm-hearted people have always captivated my imagination. I hope that with my previous travel experiences and some of the amazing jobs I've been lucky to have over the years, I'll be able to connect with incredible people and visit beautiful places.

Every donation, no matter the size, is massively appreciated. I know most of us have dreams that are never realized; we spend our lives saying things like, "if I won the lottery, I'd do this or that." I'm tired of saying it—I want to live it.
