My Travel Story

Hello everybody and thank you for reading this!
I have recently been accepted to a volunteer program in Japan.
For about 12 months I will be working in a retirement home in Japan, near Osaka, helping out the people living there.
I could not be more excited to finally be doing this voluntary work in Japan, as it is something I always dreamed of doing.
Going to Japan was one of my dreams since I was a little kid, loving the japanese culture with all its differences compared to the german culture, like manga, video games and so on.
I decided to work at a retirement home, because Japan is one of the countries in which the population is getting older and older.
A lot of old people cannot be taken care of, because of missing staff in the retirement homes.
Therefore I decided to work in this facility, on the one side to help those old people out, on the other side to learn the language and develope my personality further.
I learned the japanese language in school for about 4 years already and I am looking forward to use my language skills from now on.
I've decided to reach out to friends and family to assist with one portion of the program fee- the program donation. Any donations to help this dream come true are greatly appreciated!
