Hi all. I am Laura from Finland. Currently I am living as an au pair in Germany. I am caring, loving person with a dream which is soon coming true. I am going to South Africa to do volunteering work with kids. Let me tell you more about this trip.

I will be going to South Africa in March 2017 to do 14 days volunteering work with kids from local schools. I will teach them how to swim and surf - that way also keep them away from the streets. This activity is for most of the kids the highlight of the day and I want to be part of making their future brighter. Those kids that turn up for school every day, behave themselves in class and study hard will be rewarded by going skateboarding, swimming or surfing after school.

Last February I traveled with my current host family to South Africa. I fell in love with this beatiful country but I also saw the problems. They need help. I want to offer the help I can, but unfortunately I can't afford it myself. The flights to South Africa are expensive and the programm itself costs more than 500 euros.

I would be more than grateful if you can help me to fulfill my dream to help these kids in South Africa. This trip would also help me to get into the university in Finland to study Intercultural Teacher Education program where experience with children from different cultures is needed.
