My Travel Story

Hi, my name is Annie! I am 21 years old from Washington and about to head to T for 3 weeks! While I am there I will be volunteering in the childcare and schools in Arusha. I am going thriugh a program called International Volunteer HQ. I am beyond excited to be immersed into a new culture and cannot wait to see how, and who, makes a great impact on my life. 

Ever since middle school I have wanted to do some sort of volunteer trip. As I have gotten older, this dream has expanded to an abroad volunteer trip. I have always had a strong desire to help others all while seeing the world. I am so beyond excited and grateful that this dream is about to become a reality. 

Over my last three years of college, I have been studying social work and have learned a lot of new skills that I feel will beneift me, and also become stronger as I work in Tanzania and I am so blessed to have this experince correlate with my future career so strongly.
