My Travel Story

by: Dina Raphino Start Date: Mar 25, 2024 - End Date: Mar 24, 2025
Born to a Haitian immigrant evangelical pastor, my life has been shaped by a profound commitment to serving others. Raised with the expectation of dedicating myself to both our household and the community, I aspired to embody moral integrity, faith, and benevolence. However, the selfless sacrifices made by my mother, a devoted spiritual leader, shed light on the consequences of neglecting one's own well-being in pursuit of serving a higher calling.

My mother's untold battle with breast cancer, concealed from her family for eight years, exemplified her unwavering dedication to her faith and her community. Her passing in hospice, marked by physical decline and immense suffering, revealed the toll of her unacknowledged pain and selfless service. Despite her noble intentions, her lack of estate planning and financial provisions left her relying on governmental aid, with her cherished home facing foreclosure.

Desiring to honor her legacy and continue her altruistic work of providing shelter and support to the vulnerable, I aim to preserve our family home and uphold her mission of spreading a message of harmony and balance. In a world filled with trials and tribulations, I believe in the importance of equilibrium, fostering a state of well-being that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit, ultimately contributing to a more compassionate and purposeful society.

I humbly seek your support in funding our initiative to promote global wellness and self-care practices, furthering our endeavors to uplift individuals and foster a harmonious balance between serving others and prioritizing self-care. Your contribution will enable us to organize transformative missions, trips, and programs dedicated to nurturing the human spirit and cultivating a world where acts of kindness and conscious living prevail. First mission trip to Hinche, Haiti.

Transitioning from a religious upbringing to a more expansive form of spirituality posed a significant challenge for me. Raised in a Christian setting, I felt compelled to diverge from traditional views of God in pursuit of my personal truth.

While my mother aspired for me to follow her footsteps towards becoming a pastor and engaging in ministry, I felt compelled to distance myself from the structured beliefs of my religion.

Exploring Eastern philosophies over an extended period as a flight attendant enabled me to perceive God through a non-dualistic lens. A recent profound spiritual awakening motivated me to seek liberation from suffering and embark on a global mission dedicated to serving and uplifting humanity.

This global wellness economy project is a solution towards incentivizing integrity and supporting energetic balance.
