I have always wanted to partake in a conservation program, especially considering the current state of our worlds wildlife numbers. Environmentalism is something that is incredibly important to me and is something I actively aim to participate in everyday. I specifically would love to have hands on experience with animals in a place where the goal is to rehabilitate them and release them back into the wild. That is exactly what the program I am volunteering for is! In Namibia I will have the chance to learn about the ecology and animal species of the country, help construct buildings that can benefit the local communities and animals, plant trees to offset the damage done by deforestation, and so much more. This experience will not only make me a more wellrounded person, but will give me lifelong memories that I can use to inform people in my life and where I am from about what is happening in Namibia.

My goal is to have most of this trip be self funded, however, I am starting college in the Fall and a job whilst in my freshman year is not something that is currently manageable for me. If there is any small amount that can be donated to me, I will be immensely grateful! I hope to not only make a difference, but learn more about myself and others on this trip. The goal is to learn what there is to be done and help in anyway I can, not think I already know what there is to be done.
