My Travel Story

Help me get to work as i juggle college and plan my business. I'm working my hardest to be an example of a birth mother who has achieved success no matter the hurdles. After placing my son for adoption I vowed that I would turn my life around and become something he could be proud of and follow my dreams. I want to show that even though I personally was unable to give him everything he needed, I made the selfless decision to trust another family to do everything I couldn't. Before choosing adoption I was homeless and had no direction in life. I now have attained stable housing, have been working towards my associates in business degree and recently taking on a full time job. I don't have much free time and don't have a vehicle. I rely on the weather to be decent and the ocassional blessing of a friendly stranger offering me a ride to get to and from work, however I end up walking 80 percent of the time. With summer here and the temperature rising its becoming more difficult to arrive at work without looking exhausted and have sweat through my clothes. I normally arrive 30 minutes early to fix myself up in the restroom. I don't have the things other people have (like a vehicle) because I have not fully worked for them yet. Everything I own, I take care of and value. It may seem silly to some but I'm coming from no family and living on the streets to earning every little thing I have, working hard to go to college and be self supporting and successful. I'm asking for funds to help pay for uber or towards my savings for a vehicle. I already have a driver's license and am saving for a vehicle. I've found a great deal on a car but it's going to be a couple more months of saving paychecks. Nothing will stop me from achieving my goal of owning a vehicle by the end of the year. I need help with funding to and from work, or towards my savings. 
If it wasn't for the kindness of others, I wouldn't have even gotten this far. I'm determined to make something of myself to show the world I turned my situation into positivity. I hope to be able to tell my full story one day when I own my own vehicle and business and share some hope to other women in similar situations. I'm the proof that it can be done and asking for help in the beginning is part of it.
