The Great Escape: Fashion Migration
My Travel Story
As I prepare to embark on this journey as a fashion consultant expert, I am pulling out all the stops to be successful before I even touch down in New York. With this business venture, I can form authentic connections with entertainment professionals and talents before I even finish my coursework in college. My impending company, 8 Editorial, will facilitate and execute an event for industry professionals, including myself to have a chance of networking with new designers right here in the city of Atlanta as they showcase their work at our gala. All pieces will be curated by me and my team, and a grand finale curated collection will be fulfilled by myself. Models, photographers, creative directors, and fashion enthusiasts will finally get the big break they've been waiting for working with their respective designers, and have a chance at an even bigger break at our mixer party as they rub shoulders with talent managers, fashion heads, and other creative directors right before NYFW. What makes this such a powerful move for both cult followers and communities nationwide is the impact that the event will have on marketing professionals' event strategies once they witness how I was able to formulate a consulting business using a fashion show without having designs of my own.
What made me choose New York was its residents' bustling thirst and tenacity to meet/exceed their fullest potential and ascend their wildest dreams. For anyone who has lived in Atlanta for over 20 years knows New York is the polar opposite. This is why I must seek refuge! There are so many people there waiting to be discovered, or to be reinvented. All the talent that I will and plan to work with are striving towards excellence of their own in this city, and I want to make it my job to open their horizons to new ideas and experience the world before they influence it; the same goes for my international friends. No matter how much of a melting pot cities like New York are, there will always be somebody you failed to relate to when the opportunity was desperately trying to present itself: all you had to do was be open-minded.
I have learned to never say die!
Anything is possible with Christ Jesus.
Thank you for considering to support my move.

Travel Expenses Breakdown
I will be moving to New York with my dog, Baby. She is a Plott Hound and Pitbull mix adolescent. She is well trained, but as a dog used to surburbia, she doesn't get out much and experience people very often. I plan to roll her through the airport in a carrying bag (100), and board her in a crate while on flight (75). I'll be getting a used piece of luggage as to how I reluctantly-then-cheerfully donated my Karl Lagerfeld luggage to a church here in Atlanta (LOL!) The airfare includes both my and Baby's fees on Frontier for a flight set in September. Will upload a picture of her soon.
