My Travel Story

Hello Everyone,~ my name is Chad some of you know me as Michael (my middle name). My girlfriend and I are moving across the country over 3300 miles from Oregon to Buffalo, NY - the reason being her acceptance into a Ph.D. program at the State University of New York at Buffalo. We are making this cross-country move a roadtrip vacation as well, since we have not had a real vacation in over a year's time together and will not have much of any vacation time for a while after this. Her program is 6+ years, and I am looking to start school in Buffalo as well. Our road trip destinations will include: Lake Tahoe, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Garden of the Gods, Mushroom Rock State Park, St. Louis, and Cincinnati.

Like many others, these last couple of years have been difficult for me and my girlfriend. No two individual circumstances are the same - we have been dealing with our own unique struggles and circumstances which I will not disclose the details of as to not have anyone feel like I am tugging on heartstrings on here. We are looking at a very expensive move to rent a one-way Uhaul across the country for 14 days. We have already saved up a little over half of the money needed for the move. We have less than two months left to reach our projected financial goal for the cost of this move. Even with the best planning of how we will save the money needed for this trip, there are no guarantees that everything will go according to our planned projections of money needed to be saved. I am not on here desperately asking for people's help. I am more or less trying to ensure that even if things do not go as planned, I will have something to potentially fall back on and/or give me that little extra needed for unforseen expenses or emergencies along the way in our travels.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you even more in advance for any contributions towards this very long trip. If you cannot donate, no worries, but please feel free to share my story with others. Be well and stay well y'all!
