My Travel Story

Hi there!

Our names are Jess and Jarrad. We're a couple from the UK with a love for travel and adventure, and last year we made the huge decision to emigrate across the world to Australia.

This wasn't a decision we took lightly but it's something we feel in our hearts is what we need to do, in order to live healthier, happier and more relaxed lives. We both deal with mental health issues and both feel that Oz is a better environment for us to be overall. Not only this, but we both have careers that are in demand down under and stand to earn more and work less - win/win!

We have super close friends out in Brisbane who we have been to visit a couple of times over the years who really are like our second family and we miss them terribly. They have also been a big factor in our decision.

So, right now we're about half way through the visa process and COVID has caused a huge delay in us being able to proceed further at this point. We were hoping to have been out there by next Spring, but it's now looking more liekly to be early 2022.

We're looking on the positive side, though. This means a few extra months to get funds together for the move - that's where this page comes in! We have a small amount of savings which we are adding to when we can, but we're going to need so much more in order for this move to go smoothly. We figured we'd give crowd-funding a shot!
