My Travel Story

by: Eunice Tatalovich Start Date: Apr 15, 2025 - End Date: Jan 14, 2026
I hope this letter finds you well. I am reaching out for help with emergency round-trip travel. It was the day of Feb 11, 2025, when my husband was rushing to come to me in our room to tell me about my brother. He was hugging me so tight; he was sad and was telling me that Michael Louie had passed away. I was like, Huh, wait a moment. No way, don't say that. I immediately took the cellphone from his hand and searched for my mom's messages to me. I saw it; in her messages I learned that my brother had left us already. I read it over and over. What? Is he gone? I see what I'm reading, but it won't sync into my mind. How shocking! How quick and unexpected. Now I am heartbroken; like the loss of sunlight on a cloudy afternoon, he was gone too soon. I am not prepared. I and my husband had a nagging feeling. We need to go back to the Philippines. Days are passing by; my husband and I struggled with grief and depression. We are missing our family there very much. I'm worried about my mom, who's been alone since I've been here. She needs me. I want to show that we care for her. I will respect and show my love and support to her and my brother's family.
We are facing financial hardship. I wish to be there during this challenging time, but our funds are running low. International flights impose excessive costs on us. With bills, debts, and commodities piling up, our finances are depleted. The flight cost approximately $1483.97 per person. The total for my husband, child, and me is $4451.92. My mother has never met my child in person. Your help will provide us with the support needed to visit my mom during this difficult time. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you, and God bless!
