Howdy y'all!
Welcome to my study abroad fundraising page, I'm so glad you're here! 
My name is Maddy Brown and I am a rising Senior at the University of Tennessee Knoxville studying sustainability with an emphasis on urban systems and mass transit systems. My interest in transit, especially rail transit, was established in 2020 when I visited Washington D.C. during my Freshman year of college, and has since grown exponentially. Since then, I have been brought to joy studying throughtfully designed transit systems in the United States and abroad. 
Studying in Freiburg would afford me the grand opportunity to dive into the world of mass transit head first in order to better understand the potential for transit systems in suburban and urban areas within the United States. I long to see effective, efficient, and sustainable methods of transportation be adopted by all cities in order to promote a cleaner and greener future. These changes affect everyone, and it's my hope and joy to study ways to improve them!
Of course, getting to and establishing myself in Freiburg is an exciting but expensive endeavor, so I need your help! I'm already over halfway to my financial goal, and if you feel so led to give either financially or prayerfully I would be so grateful!
As a Christian, I intend on attending a local church and fellowshipping with other believers often. The body of Christ is global, and this is a unique way to experience His creativeness! If you would consider praying over the German church, boldness in the Gospel of Christ, and a heart that desires to serve others and the Lord well, I would also be so thankful!
