My Travel Story

Hello all! 

I have recently committed to a 9 week volunteer program in Bali, Indonesia. The program is through International HQ, and during my time in Bali I will be working directly with the Green Lion organization. I plan to leave June 1st! 

During my time in Bali I will be staying in a volunteer house in Ubud. The schools that I will be volunteering in are located in small villages on the outskirts of the city of Ubud. The children in these villages are often underprivileged, and therefore not exposed often to the English language, or people from other nations. I hope to be able to help these children learn the basics of the English language, but also grow socially and culturally. 

I will soon be graduating from Brockport with my BA in Psychology and Health Science. I hope to go on to get my Masters in Social Work as well. This experience in Bali will not only help me grow culturally, but also as a person in the helping world. This is a great chance to fully immerse myself in a new culture by living and teaching in Bali! I also hope to travel around Indonesia, and Asia after the program ends!

I am extremely grateful and excited to have the opportunity to travel to a new country and change the lives of wonderful children! While I have saved up for the trip, and continue to do so, there are still many expenses that I need help covering. 

With your help I will be able to travel to an amazing country to teach kindergarten children the English language, and hopefully so much more!
