My Travel Story

by: Sarah Boyd Start Date: Sep 14, 2014 - End Date: Jan 5, 2015
Ciao!
So my name is Sarah Boyd and I am a Junior at Washington State University (GO COUGS!), majoring in Communication and Music. I'm also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. I have created this page because I just received the opportunity of a lifetime... to spend this Spring semester studying abroad in Rome, Italy! Prior to coming to college I knew I always wanted to study abroad, but this dream has finally started to become a reality for me. During this program I will be attending John Cabot University in Rome, where I will be taking classes, living in an apartment with other students, and experiencing first-hand the Italian culture. Not only do I have the opportunity to live and travel throughtout Rome, but I also get the opportunity to visit cities such as Tuscany, Florence, and all along the Almalfi Coast. While this is an opportunity of a lifetime, it doesn't come cheap. I spent last summer working two jobs, saved my nickels and dimes (literally, I have the jar to prove it), and convinced my parents that this is a dream worth pursuing. Yet, I am still concerned about being able to secure enough money to make my dream a reality. My parents have been incredibly supportive, yet they can only assist me so much in funding my dream.
So, I decided to create this site and ask all of you, my friends and family, to help make my dream come true. Regardless of your level of contribution, anything you can give would mean the world to me. I can not express in words how excited I am about this trip and about the experience I am about to have, it truly will be life changing. You can click on the link on this page to check out the program.
While abroad I will maintain a blog, sharing my experiences and lessons learned, with the hope that you can live vicariously in Italy with me!
Thank you all so much in advance for your consideration and contribution.
Love to you all!

GO COUGS!

Grazie!
