I was extremely fortunate to win a contest through goabroad.com called Win the World: Australia and New Zealand! Through the generosity of several sponsors I am going to have the trip of a lifetime! I'm going to:
Fly from the U.S. to Sydney, Australia with Air New Zealand Nurse, monitor, and search for injured wildlife such as koalas and kangaroos on GoEco’s two-week wildlife volunteering program in Port Stephens  Travel from Sydney to Cairns with Loka’s Mick pass, stopping at adventure points along the way, including surfing and rain forests Fly from Cairns, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand with Air New Zealand Experience the incredible sights of the North Island on Stray’s Batten tour including sand-boarding, a wildlife cruise, and specifically-developed Maori experience Fly from Auckland, New Zealand to Christchurch, New Zealand with Air New Zealand Enjoy a homestay of my choice in Christchurch, New Zealand through Homestay.com However, there are expenses that will fall on me and I need to raise funds for the parts of the trip the prize doesnt cover. I, unfortunately, like most Americans my age have student loan debt that is a major factor holding me back from obtaining such a large sum on my own.
