Just some information about myself, I was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved when I was about 4 years old to Miami, Florida. When my family and I moved to Miami, we were financially stable. However, my parent's lost all of their business and struggled greatly to support us as a family. I was 11 years old when I got my first job, it may seem ridiculous but I walked a dog for 2 years. With this money, I helped out my parents with the little it could do, and also used this money to support myself with school supplies, food and my own necessities. My mom works 2 jobs, she cleans homes and baby-sits. My father has a job in South Beach and works at a convenient store. He works from 3pm-1am everyday so I don't really get to see too much of him around the house. One person that constantly supported me and helped me throughout everything is Sheryl Berkowitz, she really helped me find job opportunities and made me realize that certain things were possible even though I might not have the money available. That's what brings me here, maybe this trip is possible, maybe I can travel to Israel (where my parents were born) and learn about the heritage I come from and history. I was always interested in my parent's history in Israel and all the important history that occured there. I would love to go with the rest of my class, my sophmore class to High School In Israel! You guys can make this possible!

I would love to participate in High School In Israel mostly because most of my summers are spent working or volunteering at summer camps or hospitals! I would love to experience something new and If anyone can help me out with, everything is appreciated! I've always been interested in the culture and traditions that originate from Israel, I greatly enjoy to volunteer and give back to the community. If I am able to make it to Israel, I hope to become interested in a community service project involving the people in Israel and making a difference! I would love to know where my people came from so I can as a person give back to the community, with knowledge and a positive attitude! If you  even took the time to read this I appreciate it!

Information about Amhsi:
AMHSI offers six- and eight-week sessions throughout the year at its Hod Hasharon campus near Tel Aviv, as well as a new full semester session in the Negev. The program has over 20,000 graduates! You learn plenty of ongoing history occuring in Israel! You also have the weekends off to volunteer!
