My Travel Story

Hello Friends!
I've recently made a decision to leave my job and my home here in North Carolina to follow my heart and experience my life to the fullest. This was a difficult decision to make as I am sure some of you can understand.

This life decision has lead me in the direction to pursue teaching English as a Foreign Language in South America. I've always been fascinated by their culture and have not only wanted to teach their people a secondary language, but also be open to learn from them myself by exchanging cultures, ideas and smiles.

Teaching English in areas such as Arequipa, Peru , and many others, can help the underprivileged learn to succeed and give them confidence in creating a new future that may not have been foreseeable. Helping people has always filled my heart and the desire to travel has been knocking on my door.

So, now...I'm asking for your help!!!

While I am continuing to pursue my work until the end of May, I am asking for contributions to go towards my TEFL Certification. The deposit is $400 USD and the course itself is $1,150, for a total of $1,550.
I am planning on taking the course in November in Peru. It is a 4-week course, which turns around straight into a teaching job. I will be traveling the American West until my departure and trying to make more money to live on until I leave. If you or a friend could just donate $5 dollars minimum that would be great and this goal could be achieved. If you aren't able to that's totally cool! Just send me some love and share the campaign.
