Traveling to the Netherlands to study and teach abroad will be a completely different experience for me. I've never been out of the country and barely around the U.S.A. I've vowed to be a lifelong learner and in order to do that I think it is important to have lots of experiences around the world and not just the country we live in. To be a lifelong learner means to be open to many experiences, people, and ways of life. As a lifelong learner you live with an open mind naturally and learning and loving becomes a priority. You discover the world when you travel and you change your world by taking those priceless experiences back home. As a future teacher, I plan to change the way students view their education. I want them to experience how important learning is and how fun it can be! The many experiences I have will be shared with my future students. I can't go on this amazing trip and change the future of our students without the support of my family and friends so please, help me fund my trip!

Here is the breakdown of the expenses for the trip:

Program Fee: $3,775

Includes
Round-trip transportation from Grand Rapids
Housing
Most meals
Local excursions
Trip to Amsterdam & the Anne Frank House
Other Expenses
GVSU Tuition (6 credits) ($2,742)
Personal expenses ($400)
Passport/photos ($140)
ISIC card - optional ($28)
TOTAL PROJECTED COST (Program Fee + Other Expenses) = $7,085

Please help out with whatever you can! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!
