My Travel Story

Hi my name is Caitlin and I am 19 years old! Throughout my life I have always been very passionate about nature and our planet. About 6 years ago I had gotten very sick, and wasn't in a position where anyone ever thought I would be able to hike, travel or even work a job ever again. After many years of rehabilitation and recovery I am so happy to say that I'm able to do all of those things again to some degree. Now getting out and moving my body and being immersed in nature is more important to me than ever. I don't think I ever truly realize what a substantial part of my life that was until I thought I had lost it.

I want to take full advantage of the opportunities put in front of me and I want to travel. More importantly, I want to learn how to take better care of our earth. That is why I am volunteering for a program called worldwide organization of organic farming, or WWOOF. The idea is you travel to different organic and sustainable farms to learn about their practices. This comes with the hope that I can apply that knowledge to the way I live my life, and I can share that knowledge to others. A lot of agricultural practices hurt the planet and they hurt our bodies, and I want to play part in stopping that.

I love animals with every fiber of my being! I believe all creatures are made with a soul and belong on this earth just as much as we do. I've done some work with mustang rescue and rehabilitation locally, but through this program I will be able to learn more about how to help these beautiful creatures.  I also will be working on cattle ranches, learning how to properly care and tend towards the animals that do so much for us. It is heartbreaking to see the amount of abuse in this industry, and I want to understand it better to know how to work to solve it.

This journey is important to me because I care about our planet and every living being on it. I want to see us get back to respecting one another and respecting our home, and respecting the animals that were here first. Nature has always been where I found my peace and my strength. It's the most healing thing.I think it's the most beautiful thing, and I know that there is so much out there to see and to experience. It can be really hard to dream, to take paths most people don't recognize as paths. But I believe in what I care about and I believe I can make a difference. And for just a chance at that, I will do everything possible.

Your donations are playing a huge part in the trajectory of my life. With the skills I will learn from this experience I plan to apply them to my work and in my life. I want to continue to be an advocate, to use my ideas and my creativity to be innovative in the ways that I can take my knowledge and pay it forward. I really really want to take everything I've learned to break into these fields and to work a job I love and I can see real growth from.
Your donations will not only support my journey but will also have a lasting impact. The skills and knowledge I gain will be used to inspire and educate others on how to live sustainably and care for our planet. I am committed to paying it forward by advocating for better agricultural practices, raising awareness about animal welfare, and sharing what I learn to help create a more compassionate world. Your support is not just a contribution to my journey, but an investment in a future where we all take better care of the Earth and each other."

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my journey. Your generosity will not only help me take this step toward my dreams but also equip me with the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the world. Together, we can contribute to creating a more sustainable and compassionate future for our planet, its animals, and all of us who call it home. Every contribution, no matter how small, means the world to me and will bring me closer to making this dream a reality..

I will be happy to update anyone who is interested on my journey, again thank you so so much and God bless
