My name is Tricia Orpilla I am the Director for Te Ori O Keone Ti'a Mai. I am trying to raise funds for my hula dance camp in December. I will be learning traditional and modern dances  from the Hawaiian Culture and performing these dances at an exhibition luau showcase. I will be also leading to make a traditional Uli Uli gourd to use in my dance. I will be learning to new Oli (Hawaiian chants) a prayer in Hawaiian to learn and perform as well. I will be joining a tour of the island to learn about the origin of the dances I will be learning and performing. I can't wait to bring back the knowledge from hula camp back to my dancers in Virginia Beach,VA. I will be bringing back authentic hula and Hawaiian language to share with others on the main land. I will be passing on the Hawaiian legacy of hula to the Pacific Islanders of my community. I am very appreciative of anyone who can help bring me to hula camp and make this a reality for me.
