Volunteer Experience in Ghana
My Travel Story
The School of Medicine intend to travel to Ghana in West Africa to support government run schools and education provision. Whilst they are government-run, they are severely underfunded. In some classrooms, there are not enough desks for the number of students, so the children have to sit on the floor. There is also a significant lack of vital resources such as textbooks, which can be challenging for the teachers. The schools are in desperate need of funding and volunteer support – this is where our funding comes in!!
We will offer support by building and renovating local primary schools and health care providers and teach lessons using the rote learning method.
Our students are passionate to make a difference, please help us make it happen!
