A brave step to go out and see the world
My Travel Story
First of all, I am grateful that I get to be part of this community. My name is Jess from the Philippines. I am reaching out to kind-hearted people like you to reach my long-time dream of going to Spain.
I have been planning this trip for years now but due to hardships even before the pandemic, I was not able to do so.
This trip would be very helpful to me once completed especially finding a better job in the future. I worked as a freelance tutor. It has been my dream to teach and share my knowledge with kids, especially with those who cannot afford to get basic education here in my country and with students from other third-world countries like the Philippines.
I am passionate about this project because I know how important education is, and how hard to get it most of the time. Growing up in a big family, with both parents a farmer, having the opportunity to go to school is the best luxury I was provided with.
When thinking about the destination, I selected Madrid, Spain because this country holds a special place in my heart. I was always told by my great grandparents that our roots originally came from this country. Since then, I have instilled in my mind that I will go to this country to learn more, improve my teaching skills to help provide better education to small kids, and also, get to know my roots, which my predecessors were unable to do.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
