My Travel Story

I am a year one student studying my Foundation Degree In Health and Social Care, seeing this opportunity made me want to take part in this trip to go on a once in a lifetime trip to help the children in the Volta region, east Ghana- rural limited, we are going to be teaching them songs and English Maths, Geography and PE as well as helping build a well with a filter so then have fresh water with soap, while doing this there is a volunteer opportunity to do project work. We will also be taking supplies with us like books and pencils and sanitary products and toys for the children while we are there. 
The University has chosen this destination as they went in 2019 and enjoyed every moment of it and wanted to carry on making a difference.
This is meaningful to me as I want to learn about the culture and how they live and the school routine and to see whats it is like in real rather than on the television or from the news etc. I want to make a difference in a child's life and if that is learning them a song from the 10 days I spend there I will be very happy.
