Exploring Clinical Trials overseas for my Cancer Treatment
My Travel Story
I was recently diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma (Stage 4 Skin Cancer) and am currently undergoing chemotherapy (immunotherapy) in the Philippines. The medication here is quite expensive, costing USD 2,500 (PHP 140,000) every 21 days for two years. As the breadwinner of my family, I have faced a significant decrease in income due to my inability to work regularly because of my illness. To alleviate this burden, I applied for a clinical trial in Singapore where I can receive the medication for free.
If accepted into the trial, I will need to fly in and out of Singapore and stay there for accumulatively six months. While the medication would be free, I would need to cover the costs of airfare, daily expenses, and accommodation, which remain substantial.
I am humbly asking for your assistance to donate to my campaign to raise funds for these trips. Your support will enable me to participate in the clinical trials, receive proper treatment, and, hopefully, become cancer-free. Your generosity can make a tremendous difference in my fight against cancer and help me regain my health and continue to support my family.
