Hey guys! I've been deployed to Afghanistan as a contractor for the last 3 years, and I've had a lot of time to think. Being alone and in (believe it or not) SILENCE for 3 years has really caused me to see things differently. I've realized that growing up in extreme poverty, I've been so overly money driven due to the fear of going back to the bottom that I've buried a lot of insecurities and demons along my financial journey. Ive made a lot of sacrifices that I haven't dealt with yet. I lost my grandmother (my bestfriend) after spending the last 3 years away from her, I wasn't home to mentor and watch my baby brother when he needed me the most (and it shows) , and not to mention the childhood trauma that I suppressed so that I could stay focused. The reason I chose to go on an Ayahuasca retreat is because I know there is a disconnect between who I appear to be and think I am versus who I really am. I want to see myself as honestly as possible, and this retreat is something that has been pulling me in over the past year. This retreat would be life changing for me as I know there are a lot of things to unpack and figure out about myself. I realize that I can't move forward until I deal with what's behind me. As the war comes to an end I have 40 days until I get home and get this trip planned. I really hope you all can help in any way possible! It would mean the absolute world to me! Thank you
