My Travel Story

This September I will be travelling to Nairobi, Kenya for 12 weeks to take part in a childcare volunteering programme! I am so excited about what these 12 weeks will bring and how much I am going to learn about myself, the world, and the amazing children I will be meeting.

During this programme, I will be teaching basic English and maths in a primary school which hosts up to 100 students at any one time, with mixed classes between the  ages of 1 and 16. Alongside this, I will be supporting the overall running of the establishment; assisting in cooking, cleaning, and general care for children and babies. 
For one week during my programme I will moved to a different location in Nairobi to support either women's education or sports education which I am also very excited about!

This is an amazing opportunity which I have always wanted to take part in and after lots of praying and planning feel that now is the right time. I feel so grateful I am able to take part in this volunteering programme and would be very appreciative of prayers during the upcoming months as I prepare for this trip (as this is all very new and exciting for me!) and that I am able to provide support best I can while in Kenya while staying safe!
