Studying Abroad is something that was once viewed as a luxury for someone to experience. In today's society, it is starting to become a necessity. I was fortunate enough to be accepted to study abroad in Spain for Summer 2017. While in Spain, I will be travelling to 5 different Spanish cities while also taking two classes that will go towards my degree for graduation! Studying abroad in Spain will not only further my education, but also allow me to broaden my horizons while experiencing an entirely different culture. This will allow me to become a well rounded person and will give me an advantage when applying for jobs in the future because employers will see that I went that extra mile to expereince something new and went out of my comfort zone. I have always had a passion to learn about other cultures and I am lucky enough to say that I will be able to learn about and experience living in an entirely new environment and culture for one month. I am passionate about this because I believe it will make me more aware of different cultural backgrounds which is extremely important for a nursing career. I need to know how to care for people from many different backgrounds and what better way to do that than live in an entirely different country for one month? I chose this destination because I have never been to Spain. I am also fluent in Spanish so it will allow me to pratice my Spanish. My ability to speak two languages fluently (English & Spanish) and understand a third language perfectly (French) will give me a huge advantage over other applicants when applying for nursing positions in a few years. Any donation amount to my study abroad experience is greatly appreciated and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you for taking the time to visit my campaign page and reading my story.
