Hi there. My name is Nate. I am planning on being an English teacher once I finish my 4 years of schooling at Illinois State University. I didn't think I wanted to study abroad at all in college, but that was because I didn't want any student loans. I grew in a family with little money, and my actions to this day are based largely off of the price of something.To make sure my costs were even lower, I stayed at home and didn't move into dorms. I am not a part of any clubs. I wanted to use college as a career opportunity only. However, I recently realized that I have been going about college wrong. I don't want my 4 final years of schooling to be a boring drag through the same town I grew up in. I want a meaningful experience that takes me all the way to Stirling, Scotland for 8 weeks next summer. I am trying to get some of the cost covered so I'm able to make the trip, because I would be overjoyed to be able to study there for two months. $1600 is the estimated cost for the round-trip plane ticket to Stirling, which would be a great first step in planning my trip!
