My Travel Story

This Summer seminar is exactly what I've always dreamed of by tying together cultural processes, human development, and leadership. After I finish my undergraduate studies, I hope to attain my Master's in Public Administration and help connect communities, both domestically and internationally. One day, I hope to also open up a cheese and coffee shop that welcomes all members of the community and makes unique goods accessible. I hope to incorporate local vendors and "pop-ups" as well.

After growing up on a farm in northern California, I have always wanted to explore farms and kitchens in other places, especially Europe. As a first-generation college student, I never thought that this would be a real possibility until now. I have always works miscellaneous jobs throughout my schooling, often in restaurants or food stores. My passion for food will last thorugh my lifetime and I cannot wait to explore other cultures and their approaches to preparing and embracing food culture!

    A. Non-Refundable Application Fee $200 Billed March 25, due April 21

    B. Global Learning Program Fee (GLPF) $6313.36 mid-August

    GLPF and Non-Refundable Application Fee will be billed to your UCSC student account. GLPF expenses include:
    Accommodations and meals
    Excursions, transportation, and other program specific inclusions
    Insurance

    COST DUE
    C. Tuition * $2790 for 10 credits mid-August
    D. Campus Fee * $305.96 mid-August

    E. Visitor Registration Fee (non-UCSC students) ** $50 at time of registration

    Course tuition and fees will be billed to your UCSC student account and payment due dates are set by the Summer Session billing schedule. Financial Aid eligible students must enroll in a minimum of 6 credits for the entire Summer Session to be awarded summer aid. There is no minimum credit enrollment if you do not expect aid.
