My Travel Story

by: Adrienne Menduno Start Date: Nov 24, 2017 - End Date: Jun 26, 2018
When I first saw this project on Frontiers website, I was so excited reading through it. I have had a passion for animals and insects since I was a child, always saving bees from pools or childrens shoes and taking injured birds I found to the Native Animal Rescue in my home town. This passion is what now motivates my future job interest in zoology/ entemology, more specifically studying species in their natural habitats.
I believe that wildlife conservation is important, especially in places like Madagascar where human population has doubled since 1960 and deforestation has only increased, endangering species that live no where else on earth.
This trip will be my first time getting real experience working in the field of wildlife conservation, giving me more insight into what I want to do with my future, and an amazing adventure that I will never forget in one of the most biodiverse places in the world!
